Building 1 of the ongoing Terrace Station project is officially complete! The 1st and largest of 3 buildings offers 258 residential units, a swimming pool, 59,698 SF of commercial space and numerous other public and private spaces. The project is positioned within walking distance of the Mountlake Terrace station along the new LINK light rail extension. We are proud to present these gorgeous photos and look forward to the completion of Building 2 later this year.

We are delighted to announce that Lavina Wadhwani is now a Principal at Veer Architecture, PLLC. She will take primary responsibility for overseeing Revit standards and keeping the office updated with Building and Accessibility Code standards. Lavina will join Kent Smutny, Senior Principal in developing and diversifying the company’s architectural portfolio. Lavina is a licensed architect in Washington with more than 20 years of architecture experience in multi-family and office building projects. Lavina has been a member of AIA since 2005 and is LEED AP Certified with an interest in sustainable design practices. Lavina’s work on 123-4th Apartments, Olympia, WA was recognized with an invitation to speak at the AIA Symposium organized by the Committee of the Environment (COTE) and the building received LEED Silver certification. Prior to becoming Principal at Veer, she was a Project Manager at Veer, HDL+T, and Baylis Architects. Lavina is a member of the Diversity in Design Group, Seattle AIA and is passionate about encouraging women architects and supporting minority owned businesses.
Additionally below, Sierra Construction is working away on Terrace Station: Building 2 rain or shine. The concrete portion has already been cast in place, enabling framers to begin building the wood residential levels above. Seeing the construction workers gives a surprising sense of the project's scale.

It’s a crisp winter morning in Mountlake Terrace but neither the weather or the ongoing pandemic will freeze construction at the Terrace Station. The new Mountlake Terrace light rail station north of our site is not due to open until 2024 but Building 1 on the left is only days away from welcoming move-ins. On the right, Building 2 now has a floor slab for Level P1/C1. Covering another level of parking below, Level P1/C1 is the street facing level which will house 6 retail suites, a restaurant with patio, public outdoor amenity spaces and electric car charging in the parking garage.

We are excited to present drone imagery taken from the construction site for Renton project Sunset Terrace where excavation teams prepare the site for the concrete foundation and structure. Typically we design these projects with a concrete base to house the building's commercial, storage and utility area. The IBC (International Building Code) allows several levels of wood construction above if we specify a 3 hour fire and smoke barrier between, giving us the maximum possible amount of height and building area.
